As a professional photographer, having the right equipment is a must. For me, my Canon R 6 camera with its speed and 2 SD card slots is an absolute must-have. There's nothing worse than having a corrupted card while on a shoot! Along with my camera, my Sigma 35 and 85 mm lenses are also essential. They provide me with the versatility I need to take amazing shots, especially when combined with a yummy blurred background. These lenses are great for all types of photography, from parties to portraits and even close-up product shots. I also use my equipment for live-streaming, and in unpredictable light situations, my light stands with sandbags and Godox flashes make a world of difference. Of course, I have plans to get another Canon R 6 and more equipment so that I won't need to pack everything up every time I go on a shoot!
What I wear as a photographer
Now that you have/ looked up the right equipment , to which is crucial for capturing great photos. Let's not forget about what we wear on location – it's just as important. Personally, I prefer wearing moveable and breathable clothing that won't hinder my ability to get that perfect shot, even if it means getting a little sweaty and messy. And you know what? The BTS (behind-the-scenes) needs to be cute too! Apart of my outfit, I always have a fanny pack! They keep my hands free while carrying all the essential must-haves for photography – spare batteries, lens cloths, memory cards, and more. With my trusty fancy pack by my side, I'm able to effortlessly move from location to location without missing a beat.
Promising Marketing Tools
If I have a deadline that needs to be met and I need some extra help, Fiverr is my go-to. They have everything that you can imagine that can help you run a successful business. Another tool that is a must-have is “Grammarly”!! I used to be terribleeeeeee with grammar correction, but with Grammarly; it has gotten a lot better. Lol, I don’t know what I would do without it. Last, but not least, I love love love love to use Creative Live for continuing education. Think of it as YouTube…but way better!!! No more need for watching a bunch of videos to find the explanation of a topic. It goes more in-depth and each class gives you files to practice with.
