Podcast Studio Redesign
Nigel had a story worth telling and a living room that wasn't built to tell it. Like a lot of people launching a new show, he wasn't short on ideas — he was short on a space that looked and sounded like the show deserved. So instead of pouring money into gear he might outgrow in six months, he wanted a plan: something that would let him start recording now, on a real budget, with a clear path to level up as the channel grew.
Functional starter setup — basic acoustic foam on one side wall, peel-and-stick backdrop treatment, entry-level mirrorless camera or webcam, 2 USB mics, single lighting kit. Gets him recording cleanly without heavy investment.
Beginner Tier
🎙️ Backdrop Wall
The brick wall is doing ALL the heavy lifting.
The brick stays as the hero backdrop — no treatment needed, it's already premium. Custom branded sign swapped in, floating shelf styled with a succulent, vintage clock, and book stack. Camera, mic, and laptop on the dining table. Ring light stage-left for instant face fill.
🔇 Left Side Wall
4 charcoal acoustic foam panels mounted in a clean 2×2 grid on the cream wall — functional first, intentional-looking second. Shelving unit decluttered: neat books, pen holder, small plant. Clock stays as a design anchor.
🪞 Right Side Wall
Round dark-frame mirror added for on-camera depth. Motivational quote print beside it. Standing desk cleared down to just a mic and laptop. Clean, polished, nothing distracting.
Beginner Tier — Budget: ~$850–$975

What Sets Us Apart
Budget-Scaled, Not One-Size-Fits-All
Every recommendation was built in three tiers — beginner, intermediate, advance — so the space could grow with the show instead of requiring a full redo down the line.
Function First, Then Aesthetic
Acoustic treatment and camera framing were solved before a single decor piece was chosen — so the space sounds and shoots professionally at every budget level.
Wall-by-Wall Intentionality
Backdrop, left wall, and right wall were each designed on purpose — not decorated as an afterthought — so every camera angle has something considered behind it.
